More like, how did I get the guts?
Lots of times we think the thing we are most interested in will become our career. Or maybe a million+ dollar business. I've made jewelry, wreaths, badge holders, T-shirts, customized this or that, nail and string art, owning an online boutique, building my own websites, and a few other things. Here's the thing they all had in-common....PHOTOS! Taking photos of everything, marketing myself with photos, enhancing photos for visual appeal. My obsession with cameras and equipment borders on unhealthy, hahahahah.
During family events I would take my camera and click away. Even to other people's events (I have learned etiquette since those days) Soon my family and friends knew "Suzie will bring her camera", they were right. I remember 1 time I said to myself that I don't need a camera and I felt like I missed everything. When I have my camera I speak to everyone and walk around just looking at everything at taking picture of kids and animals.
I love the reactions people get from seeing candid pictures of themselves. My vision is different. I see people in their own unique light and personality. These are the kinds of moments I love to preserve for not just individuals but also for families.
It makes me feel like I can give back something more, something that will be a part of stories for many generations. Then there is the part where I don't have any pictures of myself. When I emancipated the only things I asked for included pictures. Soooo they kept all the pictures.
Here is where I got the guts. My extended family and friends gave me the confidence. I guess that's all I needed. Now i try and learn as much as I can.
Is there something you want to do but just haven't had lift off yet? Why?
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO FOCUS ON YOUR DREAMS!
